The KJJ fever is still boiling hot among the Filipino KPOP community as Kim Jaejoong wins once again as the “Hottest Male Idol” for the second time in a row at the 3rd Annual Philippine KPOP Awards on December 30, 2011 at the Megatent, Ortigas.

The Philippine KPOP Awards is held every year during the Annual Philippine KPOP Convention. For the its third run, Kim Jaejoong was up against Super Junior’s Choi Siwon, Kim Hyun Joong, Jay Park, BIG BANG’S T.O.P. and 2PM’s Nichkhun for the “Hottest Male Idol”, which he took home last year during the 2nd Philippine KPOP Awards at the 2nd Annual Philippine KPOP Convention

Just like last year, Jaejoong brought home the prize and the hearts of fans and some non-fans alike. Also, one of the Kpop Look-alike winners of last year's convention, Min Ortiz (Kim Jaejoong look-alike), was also on stage to receive the award.

In partnership with Globe Telecom, the fans were able to vote via mobile using their registered globe networks.

To all the fans who helped Kim Jaejoong prove once gain why fans are head-over-heels in love and swept on their feet, thank you! We are very sure that Jaejoong would be more than happy to receive the trophy once a chance arrives to personally hand it over to him. And of course, he would be more than proud of the fans who continue to support him. This would not be possible without everyone’s help. Always Keep The Faith!

Top Shelf, Fully Booked, Bonifacio High Street, Taguig

Filipino fans of TVXQ/JYJ have once again proven why they were hailed the “Globe’s KPOP Fanclub of the Year” during last year’s Philippine KPOP Awards, by showcasing the legend Dong Bang Shin Ki/ Tohoshinki/ Tong Vfang Xien Qi/JYJ has written so far, as well as the characteristics Cassiopeia are known for: prestige and loyalty to Yunho, Jaejoong, Yoochun, Junsu and Changmin – at Cassiopeia Philippines’ 9G: The Red Room Exhibit last February 25, 2012 held at the Top Shelf, Fully Booked, Fort Bonifacio Global City.

The 9th gathering borrowed its concept from one of its mother fandoms BigEast in Japan, The Omotesando, where discography of the group was presented in an exhibit-like manner, much like a Dong Bang Museum. For its own version, CassPh presented all the album jackets and cover of all the group’s releases both in South Korea and Japan, from years 2003 up to the present; as well as physical copies of official goods, merchandise, albums and singles, photobooks and even magazines. To add a touch of individuality, CassPh fangoods and memorabilias were also displayed to reminisce not only the history of the hallyu group, but also the history of the red ocean family in the Philippines as well.

1G: The First CassPH Gathering
A Walk Down Memory Lane

June 1, 2006 was the day Cassiopeia Philippines was established but it was on December 17 that same year when UNA – The First CassPH Gathering was held.

The Cass Core anxiously waited for members to come as they prepared balloons, snacks, visual presentations and more for this much awaited event. "When we saw guests arrive one by one, gradually filling our modest venue, we wanted to cry. It was such a milestone to have organized an event for a then small and minute TVXQ fandom. We're grateful to all those who came and inspired us to do more for the Filipino fans." -- Tintin, Cass Core

So with approximately 40 attendees, the premiere Philippine-based TVXQ fanclub celebrated its first gathering. Some of the Core shared their unforgettable MOA experience when they were able to see TVXQ for the first time. Members were able to meet new friends and spazz their hearts out while watching clips from the 'Heart, Mind and Soul' tour. Screams and shouts filled the room as the fangirl in everyone came out. Games were held, prizes given out and to conclude the event, a chaotic but fun balloon popping game made sure everyone would be able to bring a piece of TVXQ back home.

A Piece of History Revisited at KCC

“You may own a DVD copy, watched it countless times on your TV screens, watched it multiple times on your PCs, saved the videos on your players and mobile phones…but watching it on a big screen together with the fellow Cassies you call family and form your own Red Ocean – the feeling is entirely different.”

Once again, Cassiopeia Philippines proved that love indeed never dies, and never gets old. The Korean Cultural Center of the Philippines invited the Red Ocean family for almost two hours of screaming, fangirling, singing-along and maybe grooving along, as well as crying and renewal of faith  through its first and free concert screening, featuring Dong Bang Shin Ki’s 2nd Asia Tour: O Concert, last Sept. 8, at KCC’s Korean Wave Hall.

Prior to the date itself, Cassiopeia Philippines held registrations for those who wished to attend the concert screening. CassPh card-holders were given priorities in the registration as a part of their privileges, but non-holders were also able to register. Attendees started flocking KCC at 5:30 in the afternoon, as the concert screening was scheduled to begin at 6:30. Some brought lightsticks, some wore their Cassiopeia and CassPh shirts. Snacks were also given upon admission.
