Another Park Yoochun Drama to be possibly added to the Kapamilyanovela line up

E-mail Print PDF

Kampamilyanovelas, the official fan page of ABS-CBN's line up of dramas, recently released a color coding themed teaser that got fans hinting at the colors of the Joseon-F4 cast of Rooftop Prince. Their first photo teaser on the drama got over 160 comments. "Alright you got Rooftop Prince!", "Rooftop prince power rangers are hilarious" are among their fans' comments. A few days later, a new teaser with the main cast was posted and garnered over 300 likes within its first 3 hours of release.

Rooftop Prince or Attic Prince is about prince Yi Gak (Park Yoochun, JYJ ) from the Joseon era who travels into the future with his entourage to solve the mystery of the death of his princess. Yoochun co-stars with Han Ji Min and Jung Yoo Mi while his entourage is composed of Lee Min Ho (who also appeared in SKKS, not to be mistaken with City Hunter's LMH), Choi Woo Shik and Jung Suk Won.

There were rumors as early as March that its airing rights has been bought by the same station that will be airing Sungkyungkwan Scandal. Although the latter has not yet been aired, ABS-CBN has already released teasers for Sungkyungkwan Scandal.

[DBD] Filipino fans of TVXQ/JYJ donate to local animal shelter (Taking Fangirling to Another Level with CassPH)

E-mail Print PDF

Throughout the years, Yunho, Jaejoong, Yoochun, Junsu and Changmin have dedicated huge parts of their lives chasing after their dreams, creating music with passion and giving love to the fans who kept watch over them. In the same manner, Cassiopeia has also dedicated their time standing by TVXQ and JYJ throughout the issues and conflicts, as well as living by the codes the five men have set for their fans to follow. The relationship has brought not only friendships within the fans themselves, loyalty to the five and constant exchange of gratitude towards the said hallyu stars and their loyal followers, but also charitable deeds the fans do in reflection of TVXQ and JYJ’s actions. During concerts, fanmeetings, and even during fansignings, tons of rice wreaths the fans bring instead of fangifts have caught the attention of the world, on special occasions like the group’s debut anniversary, the members’ birthdays and just about any day to be thankful for the boys’music, health sponsorships to needy and sick people are given out by fans. Facilities have been built, and scholarships were organized in the name of TVXQ and JYJ members. This is the fandom culture built by Cassiopeia and their beloved Hallyu Stars.

Here in the Philippines, Cassiopeia has not only kept the faith and unity among fans despite the struggle with the recent isses, but also shown active participation in deeds the TVXQ and JYJ members can be proud of. With the lead of the Premiere TVXQ and JYJ non-profit organization, Cassiopeia Philippines – the faith is undisputed. A taste of the past months’ fandom culture would be the 9G: The Red Room Exhibit, Globe’s KPOP Fanclub of the Year during the Philippine KPOP Awards last 2011 and DBDs (Dong Bang Day) - a few of the highlights of the Cassiopeian existence. For the 47th and 48th DBD, last April 14 and 21, CassPh visited the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) in hopes of channeling but a percentage of love Typhoon, Leo and the rest of TVXQ and JYJ’s pets receive from their owners. It has been a year since the team has fallen in love with the beautiful animals, that needed love and affection. It’s safe to say that Cassiopeia Philippines have treasured them in the depths of their heart.

“Superstar K” to Invade Asia and Beyond

E-mail Print PDF

The Hallyu dream may just be within the hands of Non-Korean Asians, and even Non-Asians this time around.

“Superstar K”, the renowned South Korean version of American Idol, announced its upcoming Season 4 last Wednesday, March 28, through a Press Conference held at CJ E&M Center in Sangam-dong, northern Seoul. And just as the previous season surprised many with its new features such as the participation of not only solo musicians but also bands, Season 4 will just be as surprising.

The said search-for-the-next-star show catapulted now famous musicians Huh Gak and Ulala Session to fame. MNET expressed its desire to launch more potential future artists through Superstar K’s return. With a renewed set of panel judges – still including Lee Seung-chul, but with the addition of new judge Psy, who will be replacing Yoon Jong Shin; the new season’s main highlight will be its expanding arms to aspirers within Asia and beyond, closing the boundaries through music.

Top Shelf, Fully Booked, Bonifacio High Street, Taguig

Filipino fans of TVXQ/JYJ have once again proven why they were hailed the “Globe’s KPOP Fanclub of the Year” during last year’s Philippine KPOP Awards, by showcasing the legend Dong Bang Shin Ki/ Tohoshinki/ Tong Vfang Xien Qi/JYJ has written so far, as well as the characteristics Cassiopeia are known for: prestige and loyalty to Yunho, Jaejoong, Yoochun, Junsu and Changmin – at Cassiopeia Philippines’ 9G: The Red Room Exhibit last February 25, 2012 held at the Top Shelf, Fully Booked, Fort Bonifacio Global City.

The 9th gathering borrowed its concept from one of its mother fandoms BigEast in Japan, The Omotesando, where discography of the group was presented in an exhibit-like manner, much like a Dong Bang Museum. For its own version, CassPh presented all the album jackets and cover of all the group’s releases both in South Korea and Japan, from years 2003 up to the present; as well as physical copies of official goods, merchandise, albums and singles, photobooks and even magazines. To add a touch of individuality, CassPh fangoods and memorabilias were also displayed to reminisce not only the history of the hallyu group, but also the history of the red ocean family in the Philippines as well.
